Jesus - Your Best Friend

Jesus - Your Best Friend

“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, His only begotten Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn't go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person's failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God, when introduced to Him.” John 3:16-18(The Message Bible)

Jesus, the Son of God came down to the earth as a friend, not to accuse us of how much we messed up our lives, but to mend those crooked and ugly areas of our lives. Our Saviour, Comforter, Healer, Lover of our souls, loves us with an everlasting love and there is no end to His mercy and kindness toward us.

"It's obvious, of course, that he didn't go to all this trouble for angels. It was for people like us, children of Abraham. That's why he had to enter into every detail of human life. Then, when he came before God as high priest to get rid of the people's sins, he would have already experienced it all himself—all the pain, all the testing—and would be able to help where help was needed. " Hebrews 2:16-18(The Message Bible)

He chose to carry our sins on the cross for us. He chose the shame that was ours. He denied all, just for you and me. He bore that load of care, that problem which is worrying you, those failures. He chose you and me not because of our worthiness but because of His great mercy, to become His children.

And so,

"Now that we know that we have—Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God—let's not let it slip through our fingers. We don't have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He's been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. So let's walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help." Hebrews 3:14-16. (The Message Bible)

Finally dear friend, we often wish to have someone to share our sorrows with, someone whose shoulders we can weep on, someone who would pray for us; let me assure you I, Naresh, am more than willing to be such a friend to you. Please contact me if I could be of any help, in your pursuit of God’s best for your life.

This is an Encouragement I have received from the Lord and His dealings with me in my personal life in my following after Him.  We all have faults and difficulties, but the Lord's Grace is sufficient to strengthen us.  He is also able to change situations.  This has been my experience.  I hope you will hear this and be encouraged also.  For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but He has been tempted like us in all things, without sinning even once.  Let us therefore drawn near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help in time of need (Heb.4:15-16).
